Why We Started: The EV Charging Gap We’re Solving
We started CHARGISTHAN to make EV charging in India more reliable—hardware built for real conditions, strong safety, and support that shows up.

India’s EV adoption is growing quickly across two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger cars, and fleets. But for many customers, charging still feels uncertain: “Will the charger work?”, “Will it be available?”, “Will it be safe for my building and my vehicle?”
We started CHARGISTHAN to solve that reliability gap with a simple belief: in charging, uptime and safety matter more than marketing.
Real-world Indian conditions are tough on charging hardware—heat waves, dust, monsoons, voltage fluctuations, and inconsistent connectivity. In many deployments, the weakest link is not the EV, it’s the environment and the operational layer around the charger.
We built our approach around three pillars: (1) robust hardware, (2) correct installation and commissioning, and (3) ongoing support and monitoring.
Hardware is only “reliable” when it is designed and tested for the duty cycle it will actually see. That includes enclosure protection, thermal management, and safety mechanisms that fail safe.
Installation is equally critical. Many “charger problems” are really site problems—earthing/grounding, protection devices, cable sizing, or power quality. We focus heavily on assessment, commissioning checklists, and documentation so the system is safe and repeatable.
India also needs interoperability. Operators and enterprises don’t want to be locked into one backend or one vendor forever. Open protocols (like OCPP in many deployments) are a practical way to future-proof operations.
We also believe transparency builds trust. We prefer clear, realistic timelines and scope over optimistic promises that break later.
For businesses and CPOs, reliability is the business model. Downtime is lost revenue, angry drivers, and maintenance chaos. We aim to reduce that with proactive diagnostics, fast issue triage, and structured field support.
For homes and workplaces, reliability is peace of mind. Safe installation, predictable charging, and simple communication matter more than “maximum kW”.
This is the gap we’re solving: dependable EV charging infrastructure built for India, delivered with accountability.
