These terms set out the rules for buying Chargisthan hardware, and for using our charging app and management platform. We've written them in plain language so you know exactly where you stand before you charge, order, or partner with us.
Welcome to Chargisthan. We design and manufacture AC & DC EV chargers in India and run the software that keeps them charging — a driver app, a host/fleet dashboard, and our charger-management platform (CPMS). These General Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Chargisthan. Please read them carefully; a few sections — on liability, warranty, and dispute resolution — directly affect your legal rights.
By browsing our website, requesting a quote, placing an order, creating an account, or using any Chargisthan charger, app, or platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy & Security Policy, which forms part of them.
If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, fleet, or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that entity — and "you" then means that entity. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use our products or services.
These Terms are offered by Chargisthan, an EV-charging hardware and software business based in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. "We", "us", and "our" refer to Chargisthan.
They apply across everything we offer, including:
Some products or services may carry their own additional terms (for example, a signed supply, dealership, or service agreement). Where those exist, they apply alongside these Terms, and if there is a direct conflict, the specific signed agreement prevails for that engagement.
To keep things clear, a few terms are used throughout:
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract to buy from us or use our services. To use the app or platform you may need to create an account.
We may suspend or restrict an account if we reasonably believe the information is false, the account is being misused, or it poses a security risk to our network.
Product pages, brochures, and specifications on our website are provided to help you choose — they are an invitation to enquire, not a binding offer. Colours, images, and technical figures are indicative and may vary slightly from the delivered unit as we improve our products.
Here's how an order typically forms:
We may decline or cancel an order — for example if a product is unavailable, a price is clearly wrong, or we cannot verify payment — and if we do, we will refund any amount you have already paid for that order.
While these Terms are in force and you comply with them, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Chargisthan app and platform for their intended purpose — charging, managing your chargers, and viewing your data.
We may release updates, new features, and fixes from time to time, and may retire older versions where reasonable. To keep the network secure and compatible, chargers may receive over-the-air firmware updates automatically.
You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of our software, or use it to build a competing service, except to the extent the law expressly permits.
When you charge at a Chargisthan-managed point, you agree to use it safely and as instructed on the unit and in the app. Follow your vehicle manufacturer's guidance, connect only compatible vehicles and cables, and stop a session if the equipment behaves abnormally.
Public charging is often operated for a host or site owner. That host may set their own tariffs, access hours, and site rules, which apply in addition to these Terms.
Prices for hardware are set in the quotation we issue. Charging tariffs and any software or subscription fees are shown in the app, on the platform, or in your agreement before you commit.
If an obvious pricing error appears — for instance a clearly mistaken figure on the website — we are not obliged to honour it and will let you know before proceeding.
We'll agree delivery timelines in your order confirmation. Dates are estimates given in good faith; while we work hard to meet them, they are not guaranteed and can be affected by logistics, supply, or site readiness.
Installation may be carried out by Chargisthan or an authorised installation partner. You are responsible for making the site ready — suitable power supply, earthing, civil work, and any approvals or permissions — unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. Correct, safe installation and periodic electrical safety are important for warranty to remain valid.
Chargisthan hardware is covered by the manufacturer's warranty stated in your quotation or product documentation, against manufacturing defects under normal use. To make a claim, contact us with your invoice and the charger's serial number.
This warranty is in addition to, and does not take away, any rights you have under India's consumer-protection laws.

The Chargisthan name, logo, product designs, firmware, software, app, platform, website content, and related materials are owned by Chargisthan or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Buying hardware or using our software does not transfer any of these rights to you — it gives you the right to use them as described in these Terms.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve our products without any obligation to you.
Our services may rely on or link to third parties — payment gateways, mapping and location services, connectivity providers, and app stores. These operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is at your own discretion.
We work hard to keep our products reliable and our network available, but except for the warranties expressly given in these Terms or required by law, our services are provided "as is" and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent the law allows:
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
You agree to indemnify and hold Chargisthan, its team, and partners harmless from reasonable claims, losses, and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the hardware, app, or platform, or your violation of any law or of another person's rights.
You may stop using our services at any time and, where applicable, cancel a subscription under your plan. We may suspend or end your access — with notice where reasonable — if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the network, fail to pay, or where required by law or safety.
On termination, your right to use the app and platform ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as intellectual property, liability, indemnity, and governing law — continue to apply.
Our products, features, and the law all evolve, so we may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where practicable, give reasonable notice through the website, app, or email. Continuing to use our products or services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
We may also add, change, or withdraw features of the app or platform to improve or secure them, and will avoid unreasonable disruption to services you're actively relying on.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We'd always rather resolve a concern quickly and amicably — so please contact us first, and we'll try in good faith to settle any dispute within 30 days.
If a dispute cannot be resolved that way, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, subject to any arbitration or other mechanism agreed in a separate signed agreement between us.
