Everything about how money moves at Chargisthan — the methods we accept, how we price and invoice, how charging sessions and wallets are billed, when we settle with hosts, and how refunds and disputes are handled. No fine-print surprises.
These Payment Terms & Conditions govern every payment you make to Chargisthan — whether you're buying an EV charger, subscribing to our Charger Management System (CPMS), topping up your wallet in the Chargisthan app, or charging at a Chargisthan-managed station. They sit alongside our Privacy & Security Policy and any quotation, order confirmation, or service agreement we sign with you. By placing an order or completing a payment, you accept the terms below.
These terms apply to four kinds of payment across the Chargisthan ecosystem:
Where a signed quotation, purchase order, or service agreement contains specific commercial terms, those signed terms take precedence over this page for that transaction.
We accept payments through regulated, PCI-DSS-compliant Indian payment gateways and banking channels:
Instant UPI payments and UPI AutoPay mandates for recurring charges.
Domestic credit, debit, and prepaid cards supported by our gateway.
Net banking, plus NEFT / RTGS / IMPS for larger hardware orders.
A prepaid balance in the app for quick, tap-to-charge session payments.
Availability of a specific method can vary by product, order value, your bank, and your location. Chargisthan does not store your full card, UPI PIN, or bank credentials — see Payment data security.
All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (₹). Unless a quotation states otherwise:
A valid GSTIN provided at the time of order lets us raise a GST-compliant tax invoice for input-credit purposes.
Buying a charger typically follows four steps:
We share a written quote valid for the period stated on it (usually 15–30 days).
You confirm by accepting the quote and paying the advance / booking amount.
We manufacture, test, and dispatch; the balance falls due as per your terms.
We install / commission and issue the final GST tax invoice.
An order is confirmed only when we acknowledge it in writing and the agreed advance is received. Quoted prices can be revised before confirmation if input costs, taxes, or specifications change.
Hardware and project orders are commonly billed against milestones. Typical (but negotiable) terms are:
| Milestone | Typical share | Trigger |
|---|---|---|
| Booking advance | 30–50% | On order confirmation |
| Pre-dispatch | 40–60% | Before goods leave our facility |
| Balance | Remainder | On delivery / commissioning |
Exact percentages are set in your quotation or purchase order. Title to the goods passes to you only after full payment is received; risk passes on delivery. Dispatch and installation timelines assume payments are received on schedule.
When you charge at a Chargisthan-managed station through the app:
Parking, idle-connector, or overstay fees set by a host may apply after your vehicle reaches full charge. These are shown at the station and in the app before you confirm.
The Chargisthan Wallet is an optional prepaid balance inside the app, used only to pay for Chargisthan charging services — it is a closed-loop convenience, not a general-purpose payment instrument.
Access to the CPMS platform and certain software modules may be sold as a subscription or platform fee:
If you host a Chargisthan-managed charger and earn from public sessions, we collect payments from drivers on your behalf and settle your share to your registered bank account.
We issue a GST-compliant tax invoice for hardware and software purchases, and a digital receipt for each wallet top-up and charging session. Invoices and receipts are sent to your registered email and are available in the app or your account. Please check every invoice on receipt and tell us within 7 days if anything looks wrong so we can correct it.
If money is debited but the order, top-up, or session does not complete — or if you are charged twice for the same thing — the amount is normally reversed automatically by the payment gateway within a few working days.
If a reversal doesn't reach you within 5–7 working days, email care@chargisthan.com with your transaction reference and we'll trace and resolve it with the gateway and bank.
How a refund works depends on what you paid for:
Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method. Bank / gateway processing times then apply.
From time to time we may add promotional credit, cashback, or referral rewards to your wallet. Unless a specific offer says otherwise:
For invoiced (credit) accounts, payment is due by the date on the invoice. Overdue amounts may attract interest at the rate stated in your agreement, and we may pause dispatch, installation, support, or platform access until dues are cleared. We'll always give reasonable notice before suspending a service for non-payment.
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first — most issues are resolved faster directly than through a bank chargeback. Raising a chargeback for a service you genuinely used, or any fraudulent or unauthorised payment activity, may lead us to suspend the account and recover the amount, and we cooperate with banks and authorities in investigating misuse.
Your payment details are handled by regulated gateway partners, not stored in the clear by us:
Payments are captured over encrypted, PCI-DSS-compliant gateway pages.
We never store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or bank password.
Recurring payments use bank-approved tokens and AutoPay mandates you control.
Transactions are logged and monitored for fraud and unauthorised access.
How we handle the personal data around a payment is explained in our Privacy & Security Policy.
Raise any payment or billing concern within 60 days of the transaction so we can investigate with full records. We aim to acknowledge quickly and resolve fairly, in line with our policies and applicable RBI guidance. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Jodhpur, Rajasthan have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any consumer protection right available to you.
As our products, payment partners, and regulations evolve, we may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where practicable, notified to you in advance. Continuing to buy, subscribe, or charge after an update means you accept the revised terms; the terms in force when your transaction takes place are the ones that apply to it.
